Whether you’re dropping your child off at BYU or you’re visiting Utah for vacation, one thing is for sure — you deserve to eat great food while you’re traveling! Chances are that at some point or another you’ll be searching for burger restaurants on your trip. If that’s the case, we can do you one better with a dining experience that’s out of this world.
We’re talking, of course, about stopping in for a gourmet slider here at Marley’s!
It may even end up being a highlight of your trip. But what else should you do while you’re passing through our magnificent state? We’ll be breaking it all down in today’s post, so keep reading to learn more.
A Few Of Our Favorite Things to Do While You’re Visiting Utah
Stop at a National Park
Depending on the route you’re taking into Utah, you could be venturing in pretty closely to one of our state’s many great state parks and national parks. Arches and Canyonlands are beloved options if you’ll be swinging by Moab, but other options include Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Cedar Breaks, Golden Spike, and Zion. Additionally, there are trails, monuments, and more that you can enjoy. If you’ll be near American Fork, Timpanogos Cave is a must-visit because it allows you to explore an amazing underground world!
Visit Ken Sanders Rare Books
Everyone loves a good book, and if you’ll be near Salt Lake City, make it a point to visit Ken Sanders Rare Books. A “full-service antiquarian bookshop since 1997,” Karl Sanders Rare Books features “a selection of rare and collectible books, a smattering of new books, and the reading copies every book lover needs.” From (of course) books to art, old postcards, maps, pictures, and more, there’s something for everyone.
See the Museum of Ancient Life
For those traveling through Lehi, Utah, a trip to the Museum of Ancient Life is in order. After all, where else will you get the opportunity to “roam among the dinosaurs, explore a Carboniferous Forest, and dive deep into a Cretaceous Ocean at the Museum of Ancient Life”? There’s a lot to explore during your visit and whether you’d like to take a look at the dozens of exhibits, take in a 3D movie, or see what the paleontology lab is up to, you won’t find a glimpse into history quite like the one you get at the Museum of Ancient Life.
Take in Provo River Falls
Want to be awed by nature? Provo River Falls is an amazingly beautiful waterfall with a nearby hiking trail that you shouldn’t miss. Whether you need the opportunity to get out and stretch your legs for a bit or you want to take in the majesty of a waterfall, this is the place to do it. This waterfall “tumbles over a series of scenic waterfalls as it flows along Hwy 150 in the Uinta Mountains.” If that sounds like something you just can’t miss, you’re correct. You’ll be treated to an amazing forest full of fir trees, some unique wildlife, and much more. It’s an easy hike that’s only about a mile or so out and back, so there’s no excuse not to stop at Provo River Falls.
